A best-practice approach to information-gathering
Interviews are routinely conducted within organizations for various purposes. This workshop introduces students to science-based interviewing techniques that can be applied in any information-gathering context. Students will learn the core skills of investigative interviewing and how to utilize them to conduct high-quality structured interviews. Additionally, the workshop will address common interviewing challenges and provide strategies to overcome them.

Strategic Interviewing
How to elicit and manage critical information during an investigative interview
Strategic interviewing methods have emerged as valuable tools for investigators in recent years. This workshop focuses on science-based interviewing techniques to enhance an investigator's ability to elicit and manage information during an investigative interview. It is best suited for professionals who conduct investigative interviews in challenging and high-stakes contexts (e.g., respondent and criminal suspect interviews). While prior evidence-based foundational training, such as the Investigative Interviewing Techniques and/or Advanced Interviewing Techniques workshops, is recommended, it is not required. Hence, individuals interested in these topics are welcome to register.
